I'm from a psych background but believe that psych should be incorporated into larger medical world I am from a Jungian psychological background. But I am not a typical Jungian. I see Jungian psychology as narrow and needing to link-up what it says about inner psychological thoughts, feelings, complexes... with behavior. Also, psychology can sometimes link up with the physical body in psychosomatism. And also again, some Jungian themes (e.g. dissociation) are very relevant to the social world in that dissociation prevents the individual from socially functioning in everyday life. The psychological discontinuity of consciousness links with the social inability to function. Overall, what Jungian psychology says needs a linked up home with these other significant areas and fields and being contextualized by medicine.

I am also interested in parts of popular culture. I dont snobbishly reject the likes of Simon Cowells talent shows. I love some movies (e.g. Gothika, The Others, What lies Beneath). I have music tastes (e.g. Mariah Carey). And I like some dramas (e.g. House, CSI, Numbers)
