I was a Navy wife for over 20 yrs, divorced in 1998,consider myself a lady and like being treated as such. I have old-fashioned values and believe chivalry is still alive and well. Although I may seem a little reserved at first (aren't we all?), I warm up quickly to interesting conversation, I love to laugh and am usually smiling. I'm pragmatic, even tempered, always try to play fair and see the glass as half-full. I can wear jeans and get dirty but feel just as comfortable in dresses and pearls.

I also believe if one has preconceived ideas of who our "perfect" mate is, one runs the risk of missing the opportunity of finding the one we are looking for. Entering into a relationship, one might then try to choreograph the relationship to fit those expectations. But there are a few basic qualities I need to make it work for me. Trust, of course, is the foundation upon which love is built. Honesty, respect, loyalty, trustworthiness, open communication, friendship, and affection are the mortar and bricks that bond it together. I am looking for a man that believes and lives by these same values.

I am ready to love and be loved. I am not just looking for someone to take home with me. I'm am neither needy or in a hurry. If we enjoy each other's, company let's just see where it goes.
