Happy always Dream of Adam


I am deeply disturbed

There are knots in my throat

I am troubled, tormented by visions

This morning I woke up

With flashes of a vivid dream

Drowned in beads of perspiration

Cautiously I sat up

Virtually in a panic,

With hope of not disturbing

My new wife who lay peacefully sleeping by my side

In my dream

There was something familiar with the scene

The musky odor of a man who is not I

His touch that seemed to disappear with the wind

Left bulges of tingles on my arms

This was not like others before

Passion was transparent, almost tangible

Is this my future?

For he would not go away

Now it makes me wonder…
